Welcome!

Lake Harriet Christian Church is a community church, located in Southwest Minneapolis, adjacent to the first ring suburb of Edina.  Our worship service is informal, but dignified. We emphasize worship, and celebrate The Lord's Supper every Sunday. We value children. We celebrate diversity.  We actively participate in a variety of outreach activities in the community and in the world, as we believe we are all ministers.  Seeking God through Christ, with prayer ministries at the core of our communal life, we experience the spiritual significance and sustaining nature of life shared together as a family of faith. 

Lake Harriet Christian Child Care Center is also located in our church building.  The Center provides care for children from 6 weeks to Kindergarten age in a loving Christian environment.  Check out the Center's website for more information.

Our congregation is part of the Christian Church (Disciples of      Christ), a denomination that emphasizes deep spirituality, true community and a passion for justice.  In the words of Rev. Dr. Sharon E. Watkins, General Minister and President of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ): We are Disciples of Christ, a movement for wholeness in a fragmented world.  As part of the one body of Christ, we welcome all to the Lord's Table as God has welcomed us.
